Our Main Shop is located at 455 Main Street, Ferndale, CA 95536. This location was opened in 1979 by Joe Koches. The Blacksmith Shop's goal was to offer to the general public the finest collection of master blacksmithing and art glass in the U.S. With this accomplished, we are now in the process of creating the finest international collection. We take pride in our shop and look forward to serving our customers. We have since opened a gallery space located at 491 Main Street, Ferndale, CA 95536 (just two doors down form the Main Shop).
The Blacksmith Shop is located in the Victorian Village of Ferndale, the westernmost town in the contiguous United States. Located between the Pacific Ocean and Humboldt County's majestic redwood forests, Ferndale is the best-preserved Victorian Village in California. The commercial district has been included on the National Register of Historic Places, and you'll find The Blacksmith Shop located on Ferndale's historic Main Street. The 1888 building is listed as a contributing structure to the Historic District. |
